When Adeline started school in Tianjin, she went to a boarding school that she went to when she was in kindergarten. Tianjin was very dangerous at that time and after a few weeks, Adeline was the last student left. Her teachers kept wondering if anyone was going to pick Adeline up from the St. Joseph school. When Adeline’s aunt Reine (Niang’s older sister) went to get Adeline from the boarding school in Tianjin, Adeline’s teacher shouted ”Someone has come to pick you up!” as she searched for Adeline. Adeline was happy, confused and worried because she was finally leaving Tianjin, the dangerous place but she didn’t think anyone would actually pick her up. Aunt Reine mentioned that Niang had told her that Adeline was in St. Joseph boarding school and Niang and Niang’s family were moving from Shanghai to Hong Kong. Adeline, Adeline’s aunt Reine and her family were also going to Hong Kong. Adeline was again environmentally changed and psychologically changed because she was moving cities again and she was being taken by new loving people, to Hong Kong.

After the Schilling family left for Geneva after a week of staying in Joseph’s apartment, Adeline was taken to a school named Sacred Heart School and Orphanage. Adeline was going there as a boarder. She was prepared because she has been taken away from everyone a lot of times already. She was environmentally and mentally changed because she was going to a new school and she had to start making new friends again.
I personally think there shouldn’t be such thing as war or hatred. It simply causes more hatred, but luckily Adeline is not that type of person.

Adeline might have liked the website http://weheartbooks.com/ because she loved to read books during her stay in St. Joseph Boarding School.
